NEW IN 2010! ONLINE CERTIFICATION APPLICATION!!!
- Pursuing and achieving AACVPR Program Certification should be a goal for all Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. Program certification sends a powerful message to patients, physicians, third-party-payers, and the community that you are providing a quality service consistent with evidence-based and nationally established standards of care.
- MOKSACVPR is committed to promoting and providing resources to programs that endeavor to achieve this goal.
- The MOKSACVPR Member’s Only page provides over 50 best practice policies, procedures, and forms from certified CR and PR programs in MO and KS for your review.
- NEW IN 2010!! Beginning in 2010 program certification and re-certification will be done entirely online! Mark your calendar with these very important dates:
- October 31, 2009 – the Program Certification and Re-certification applications become available in a pdf file online at www.aacvpr.org/certification.
- March 1, 2010 – the AACVPR Certification Center is launched! You may now begin to complete your application.
- May 1, 2010 – Final date for completion of all applications.
- July 1, 2010 – Review of all applications will be completed by the AACVPR Program Certification and Re-certification Committee.
- August, 2010 – AACVPR Board of Directors will review and approve applications meeting the stated requirements.
- Late August or early September, 2010 – AACVPR national office will notify programs of their certification status.
- You will no longer be sending in 3-ring notebook applications but will instead be completing all steps online. Certain pieces of documentation may still be requested but you will fax those in with a special coversheet bearing a bar code identifying your program. The documentation will then be scanned in and become immediately available for review online.
- If you have questions about the certification process or requirements you may email the MOKSACVPR Certification Committee Chair, Cristy Baldwin, BRN, RN at cristy.baldwin@mercy.net.
- Additional information is also available at www.aacvpr.org. Note that some information is available to AACVPR members only (another good reason to join!).
